One afternoon, a girl was pensive on the beach accompanied by a gust of wind that stroked her hair. The sun will set and the girl is still comfortably sitting on the white sand accompanied by the sound of the waves. The girl's name is Mireya, she travels from home to this beautiful beach for an hour in between her busy life as a student and to get away from a home that doesn't feel like home to her. Mireya is just tired of her parents always demanding that she is perfect in academics, she has tried to do her best but she feels her parents always underestimate her efforts. While Mireya was still pensively looking at the sunset, she felt someone sitting nearby. A man, then he said 

“Can I sit here?” then Mireya replied 

“Sure, everyone can sit here” the man replied

"Bad day huh?"

 Mireya replied “I think so” with a chuckle. 

The two of them got acquainted and the man's name was Mike. After they talked, Mireya felt comfortable expressing her grievances to Mike. Short indeed, but Mireya feels Mike is the person she needs to share her story with. It didn't feel like it was getting dark and Mireya was going home, Mike said he would meet Mireya tomorrow at this beach and he would listen to Mireya's story again. Mireya is very happy and can't wait for tomorrow.

The next day, after Mireya came home from college, she rushed to the beach. Mireya can't wait to see Mike again. After arriving she went straight to the beach while waiting for Mike to come. Mireya senses that someone is behind her.

"Sorry Mireya, did you wait long?"

It was Mike and Mireya smiling while saying

"No Mike, I just came."

They sat on the white sand that afternoon, and told each other about the complaints they had made all day. Mireya listened to the stories Mike told about him and she came to the conclusion that don't judge a person by appearance. Mireya's first impression of meeting Mike was that he was a cheerful person and able to comfort others who were sad. But in fact, he was the one who bore the most wounds. Mike's father and mother had passed away four years ago due to illness, losing his father made him sad but there was still a mother figure beside him. Three months later, the mother followed because her illness often recurred since her husband left and she left Mike to live alone. Mike said at first he wanted to give up because he felt he had no purpose in life since his parents left. But he realized that the dream he wanted to achieve must be realized according to the wishes of his parents while they was still alive. From Mike's story, Mireya knew that Mike was actually in college, but he decided to leave due to lack of funds. Mike decided to work first and raise money for college fees. 

Mireya listened carefully to Mike's story that afternoon. Mike also told her not to give up easily no matter how difficult life was. Mireya realized, she still has parents, she can still go to college and her parents fulfill all her needs. He doesn't need to think about tuition fees because her parents pays for it, in contrast to Mike who was forced to drop out of college due to lack of funds. Mireya regrets always complaining that her parents demand that her academic grades be perfect and Mireya feels that it is her duty to get the best grades in college, Mireya realizes that she cannot disappoint her parents who have worked so hard to give her the best life. Mike told her, Mireya should be able to make her parents happy starting from simple things. And at that time Mireya was crying, crying because someone she just met like Mike was able to give her words that could change her. Mireya feels comfortable, Mike never judges her story, doesn't interrupt her while speaking, listens and calms her down in a way that warms Mireya's heart. After returning from the beach Mireya is determined to apologize to her parents and promise to get the best grades, because this is all Mireya can do to make her parents proud of her. The sky was getting dark and Mireya rushed home, Mike drove Mireya home because he was worried about a girl driving alone. On the way, Mike said he would meet Mireya three days later because he said he had business to attend and told Mireya to wait for him. 

Day after day passed, exactly three days when Mike told Mireya to wait for him at this beach, as usual Mireya went to the beach when the weather was not so hot. She will also wait for the sunset. She patiently awaited Mike's arrival. Finally Mike comes and apologizes to Mireya for making him wait. They sat down and started a conversation. Mireya thanks Mike for resuscitating her because of the misunderstanding between her and her parents. Mike says Mireya shouldn't have to thank him because Mireya managed to resolve the issue between him and his parents. Mireya is increasingly amazed by Mike, she is amazed at his thoughts that can always calm others. Suddenly Mike asked Mireya

"What do you like the most when you're on this beach?" Mireya replied

“I really like sunsets, when I look at them, it's very relaxing.

Then Mike asked again

"Mireya, do you also know the thing I like the most?'. Mireya replied

“You must really like this beach”

Mike's answer made her surprised and blushed

“The thing I really like is sunsets and you Mireya”. An unexpected answer also came from Mireya too

"I think the thing I like the most besides sunsets is you Mike". She answered with a smile. Then they got up from their seats and walked along the beach accompanied by a beautiful sunset that they liked it.
